UCF, Jordan, and adidas Make For A Great Love Triangle

By now, you’ve probably heard the news that University of Central Florida has forfeited the remainder of their sponsorship deal with adidas because of Marcus Jordan’s decision to wear his Js, therefore failing to honor to their contractual agreement.

The Los Angeles Times has certainly made their opinion on the subject known, but there are several things to consider here:

Were adidas’ actions too stark?

Is this an elaborate and predetermined PR strategy for Brand Jordan for which the public is having one thrown over their eyes?

I wonder…

I mean, it’s not like a member of the Jordan family hasn’t been reprimanded for sneaker rebellion before:

With Jordan Brand being one of the world’s most legacy brands that leverages the power of advocacy from the most credible endorsers, I wonder what made UCF think that Mike’s own BLOOD wouldn’t follow suit!?! Needless to say, I’m keeping my eye on how this plays out.
