Here’s a random one:

To apparently profit off celebrate the release of the Mr. Cakeaholic-helmed BlakRoc project (which is now available via iTunes), Harlem New York City Nashville-based Carl Black Chevrolet is announcing the release of their exclusive 2010 Chevy Camaro “BlackRoc Edition”. The Tennessee-based blog The Tennessean reports:

“The 2010 Chevy Camaro speaks for itself with its sculptured body and passionate engineering that left nothing to be desired. Carl Black has simply added the sizzle to match the passion and creativity of the BlakRoc project,” a company statement reads. “From the ground up, the BlakRoc Camaro has been equipped with sleek, stylish accents that tie in with the BlakRoc brand.”

So, after this project was recorded almost entirely in New York, features a majority of influential New York-centric artists, and is essentially an offering with a ‘Downtown NYC’ sensibility…. we’re releasing this promotional vehicle LOCALLY….in NASHVILLE?  (If there is some actual strategic significance to this, please enlighten me.) All I know that if this was something that Dame Dash was actively involved with, I’m sure we would have heard a lot more (from him) about it.

A few questions from me, the eternal skeptic:

Blacking it out turns up the heat. The windows are tinted, the taillights are smoked, and even the Chevy bow tie goes dark to complete the look. The Black on Black classic combination subtly comes to life with flat black racing stripes front to back with the BlakRoc logo inlayed in metallic on the hood and rear spoiler.

Waiiiiiiiit a second….I’ve seen that before!

Nonetheless, much respect to all the homies involved with both the BlakRoc and Creative Control projects- you’re definitely moving things in the direction we need to be heading in.

‘Till the next… SUITS!
